The K9 Centre is proud to have Alan Thompson as their certified dog trainer on the Gold Coast Queensland.
Alan is situated at beautiful Guanaba on the Gold Coast and provides private lessons as well as Boarding & Training courses.
Alan has many years of dog training experience. He started as a teenager training and working with Border Collie Sheepdogs on a hill farm in the Scottish Border region, Alan has resided on the Gold Coast QLD for most of his adult life and has decided to take his passion for dogs and dog training to a new level.
Alan also holds a Diploma in Animal Management and Animal Husbandry
Alan visited the K9 Centre and was immediately drawn to Martin’s approach to dogs and dog training. He was impressed with the depth of experience the training methods were based on and was absolutely amazed at how effective Martin’s CalmSmart technique was. Alan saw this as a way to enjoy his passion for dogs whilst helping others solve their dog and puppy problems.
Using ”K9 Calm Smart “ is a simple yet effective puppy and dog training method to shape correct responses in a dog. It is presented in a calm and positive way that makes it enjoyable for all dog owners.

Alan also provides Puppy Pre-schools around the Gold Coast area. Allowing puppies to socialize with other puppies in a controlled environment using our unique training techniques will ensure they are become calm, reliable adult dogs.
K9 Home Smart Dog Training – In home training:
Alan will come to you at a convenient time and develop an individual program customized for you and your best friend, which will maximize positive outcomes with fast results.
K9 Smart Group sessions – Dog Obedience Training Classes:
This will teach dog owners the value of communicating calmly and intelligently with their dogs and puppies, and how they can think in a ‘canine way’ for successful interactions and positive problem solving.
K9 BoardSmart – Boarding and Training is available on the Gold Coast. Booking are must.
