About Termite Detection Dogs

An addition to our accreditation system governed by the A.S.D.T.A. are Termite Detection Dogs and Termite Detection Dog handler training. We are currently training dogs to detect the presence of live termites of all species and  in all  environments such as buildings, ships / boats etc. under the direction of a handler.  Our standards of training and certification are constantly evolving and remain above all  relevant  requirements in any industry and are put together by certified experienced trainers
.
At present we have trained over 25 professional Termite Detection Dogs . Three of these dogs have been for companies overseas  and the rest are working  in Australian work places

If you are interested in acquiring a new addition to your termite detection team there are a few prerequisites that need to be met if you want the dog to be certified by the
A.S.D.T.A. 

• You agree to carry out  the training, certification, and skill maintenance procedures and demands.
• Handlers must participate in an introduction to termite detection dogs .
• Records of termite dog deployment and ongoing training.
• The handlers must love dogs and display a natural empathy towards them
  and show they are willing to continue to learn and care for their dog

Termite Detection Dog Handlers / Owners are known for their expertise and interest in detection dogs and termite management. All K9 handlers complete a training program before they take their dog into your home, the work place.

Our dogs are trained using live termites of many different species and are harvested in the correct manner to keep their original odour. This helps ensure the quality and integrity of our dogs and their  training.
