Qualified Professional Puppy Trainers.
No Hype, No Gimmicks, Just honest Results and Outcomes.
The best time to start training your new pup is as soon as they come home!
Many trainers offer a cookie cutter approach to pup development. Believing that this level of training is just something to keep the pup occupied. A small insignificant first step in training.
However, we know from 33 years experience in specialist canine development, that this stage of the dog’s life is the most important and every effort should be made to get it right. Otherwise you will pay the cost, later on, of being complacent about your pup’s behavioural development.
If your trainer is not pressing home this point to you from an ethical and caring standpoint – get another trainer. The amount of clients that contact us saying things like -“I did puppy school, I don’t understand why my pup is aggressive” or “my pup is only 10 months old, why is jumping up and biting me?” The first 20 weeks of your pups life is a critical development period.
Get this stage wrong or believe you have plenty of time yet to train your dog and you’re setting yourself up for behavioural problems down the track. Behaviour problems that could be avoided if you invested in a realistic program that focused on the complex and challenging development of your pup’s behaviour.
It should be an extensive and well supported program . This is what we offer in our K9 PuppySmart program. Designed to set in stone your pup’s foundational behaviours, with relevant and well thought out behavioural exercises.
We are committed to ensuring both you and your pup start off life together with the right training and lifestyle behaviour development. All of our dog trainers are initially trained then mentored by Martin Dominick who has 33 years of puppy through to adult dog training and development.
A helpful tip to remember….Your puppy should have received a vet check, had their first vaccination and be micro-chipped before leaving the breeder, by law in Australia.
Puppy Training you can trust, with no stress!
The K9 PuppySmart program is an interactive pup training course allowing you, your family and your puppy to train in a safe, calm and positive environment, whether that is in your home or visiting us.
When it comes to training, the early months of your puppy’s life are very important. They will learn vital skills pre 20 weeks and these early life lessons influence how your puppy communicates, learns and ultimately develops into an adult dog. Our K9 PuppySmart trainers are fully trained in the K9 Smart methodology.
A puppy is a part of your family so we encourage the whole family to be present at the lessons. We teach you about basic dog psychology, health, well being and ongoing management and maintenance. We ensure we cover the safety aspect of dog ownership and get you on your way on the right foot.
