A Dog Training Mentor!
Mentoring – K9 ProSmart
As a professional dog trainer you know that there are challenges unique to the dog training industry. Whether you’re just starting our or you’ve been in the game for a long time, your dog training practice has most likely had its fair share of hard knocks. Hopefully you’ve learnt from the mistakes and improved your service delivery.
However, there is always something to learn and the day you think you know all about dog training is the day one of those “hard knocks” will come calling. Trust me I know I’ve been there. I’ve made some colossal mistakes. I have learnt the hard way – you don’t have to.
I will soon be offering a mentoring program for dog trainers , regardless of experience, that centres around your personal and professional development. I will be your assistant as you work at your business. I will provide a program of education and support that focuses on what you need so you grow your business and build a solid trusted name in this demanding profession.
This is a new program and stems from the continuous enquiries I receive such as “how can I become a dog trainer?” or “how can I add specialist services to my dog training practice?”.
Please Note: I will only be working with a small number of professionals at any time. Each K9 ProSmart Mentor Program participant will be interviewed and follow an application process before acceptance to the program. This is not be discriminatory. It is so each participant will benefit from, and be a benefit to, the other participants. Learning is optimised and a integrative, real time environment is experienced by everyone in the program.
The K9 ProSmart Mentoring Program is designed to fast track the accumulation of your experience equity. You will be pushed to be uncomfortable so you expand your capabilities optimally .
My role as your mentor is to be that sounding board for you. There will be times when robust discussions will be had. You will be tested, as will I, but the outcome will be positive for us both.
I have developed solid, adaptable set of educational systems, you can follow to ensure you build a fantastic service scope for your clients, that also works for you. Trust the system.
The key to a well respected dog training business is how robust and proven the system of service delivery is, which of course should be facilitated by an equally stable, consistent and knowledgeable dog trainer. Developing your “own way of doing things” will come from having access to my 30 years of lessons learnt in the industry as well as your interpretation and application of it within your daily practice.
At the end of the day the true measure of a competent, professional dog trainer is whether or not they can help the client with their dog related problems or requirements. I’m here to help.
